Clinton's riposte

"I'm Hillary Clinton, and I do not approve that message," Clinton tells the New York delegation of McCain's ad that features her old criticism of Obama.

Clinton says Democrats are gathered in Denver for a "clear and specific purpose, and that is to elect Barack Obama president of the United States," my colleague Amie Parnes reports.

"Now I ask each and every one of you to work as hard for Obama as you worked for me," she said.

Emil Jones calls a black woman supporting Hillary an "Uncle Tom"......why are Obama supporters always calling people racist? Why is the Obama team always using the race card?

We all know that is what Hillary has to say. We also know that there is a difference between saying what you have to say and knowing what the truth of the matter really is. This Clinton Democrat is voting McCain.

Obama campaign members back to playing the race card! No surprise there.

Hey, Ben - I know its great fun for Politico to try to conjure up some Clinton drama, but from a "what's important" perspective, did you catch that Iraq is demanding a TIMETABLE for US withdrawal?? Didn't McCain go on TV and tell George Stephanopolous that al-Maliki didn't want a timetable and wouldn't call for one?? Doesn't this mean that Obama's plan and Iraq-We're-Still-a-Sovereign-Country-Over-Here's plan are a little more in sync that McCain's 100 years perpetual presence plan?? Or are we just talking about Hillary??

Be afraid Republicans. Hillary is coming to get you! You are deluding yourselves if you think our Democratic Lioness is on your oil company loving Christian Taliban side. She and Obama have been talking since the day after the primaries. She is going to kick your habeas corpus hating behinds.

Beneath the media's fawning affection for John McCain, including frequent mentions of his sharp sense of humour---they neglect to mention how much of it is based upon racism, sexism, and just plain ignorant tastelessness. If Chelsea would go to the podium and ask mcCain for an apology for the joke he told about her when she was a teenager---it be a dagger through the heart of the campaign of this arrogant phony hypocrite. And could start Chelsea on the road to bigger things by 2020, 0r 2024.

Changing her tune from what she was saying during her futile attempt to steal the nomination once she had clearly already lost it. What a liar! It is amazing the damage the Clintons have done to the party by not accepting the publics choice of Obama in the primary. Talk about selfish entitlement at any cost.

It's really sad to see Obama and his campaign once again using race baiting tactics to win the election. Emil Jones and his "uncle Tom" remark is just one more example of Obama's racist attitudes. But the Obama attended Trinity Church with Jeremiah Wright for twenty years, so why should any of us be surprised.

Our nation and its future is at stake and unfortunately the primary losers are whining--we should question the Clinton campaign folks and their prioities; it doesn't appear to be the American people. They are the Republican Party's dream.

Um..Nate Silver at 538.com has correctly pointed out that John McCain voted to remove Bill Clinton from office. All Hillary and Bill have to do at the convention is wag their finger and say "shame on you", "you don't speak for me" or some such.

Why haven't Hillary and Barack been campaigning together lately or even this week, if they are as unified as the campaigns are trying to demonstrate?

The interesting thing that comes out of Biden and H. Clinton now backing away from what they have said about Obama is that, either they will say anything to get elected and do not believe everything they say or they are now backing away from it for political reasons. Either way Obama still isn't ready to be President.

Yet again Hillary shows her devotion to the party and to the Obama campaign despite being treated like crap by both these entities. Unlike you haters, Hillary has class. Of course she could shout Obama's name from the hilltops but nothing she does will ever be good enough for you childish haters.

will people stop pretending that Hillary has the magical ability to force the people who supported her in the primary (you know, those 'ignorant rednecks') to vote for Obama? Obama had problems with that demographic to begin with--Hillary or no Hillary. If liberal college campus/city Dems took enough time to step back and stop insulting Dems from other parts of the country, maybe they'd understand how it's a lot easier for those Dems to take their votes elsewhere. It typically goes like this: Before November--"haha, look at those stupid hicks who don't support OUR candidate" Then after November "Waaa, I hate this stupid country--I'm moving to Canada" etc etc

She has been saying that all along. Its the fringe(yes some morons) around her that cannot shut up. The Clintons know politics. Barack Obama has a large base of support. He has a lot of volunteers. These same volunteers could help her and other friends of hers all across the country. There comes a time when we all suck it up and look at the bigger picture. I had to do just that in 2004 when my candidate(who I was very passionate about) lost the primary. I was devastated, but my politically mature brain kicked in.

"Changing her tune from what she was saying during her futile attempt to steal the nomination once she had clearly already lost it. What a liar! " We know 'sniper fire' Hillary is trying to be as good a liar her hubby Bill. But there is something about the truth that has its own credibility beyond the speaker. Hillary was very convincing when she mentioned Obama's lack of experience, Obama's failure to explain his relationship with Rezko, and his bad judgment in friends and associates. Obama is simply not ready nor qualifies to be President and even most Democrats in their heart of hearts know its true.

Obama, I want to believe is a wise man and knew what he was getting into, but yet and still, he have so much hope in the American people that he feels they would/will do right by themselves-the American people. From my research of Obama, he is not selling himself, but the ideal of what the American people can do when they come together for a common cause and himself as the/a facilitator. Americans have been living by the playbook of divide and conquer for so long that they can't grasp the message. The GOP understood his message well and that is why they have made this election a referendum on Obama himself. The reward in playing that game is that they understand that the American people that would benefit the most from Obama's vision, do not understand it. The people are looking for Obama policies that will help them. They don't understand that they (the American people) ARE his policy, and together they will write the policies that are best for them. Obama needs to lay it out like he was talking to his girls, because the foundation that he has been trying to build on is weak from years, centuries of programming in the other direction. In other words, the Americans that you see on the outside are not the same on the inside. There is such a void that is so deep that need to be fill. It is like a new born baby but not with a clean slate, and a different language. American people, Obama wants to put the power back in your hands, but by stud of American History, I don't think the power was ever in your hands. This is a new concept for them Obama, that is why they don't get. The people that have always held the power, they got your message loud and clear and are coming out of the walls/wood works, on every turn to buck you. Until the American people gets it,the powers that be have no plans to give it up to the American people. Their power comes from the American people's ignorance/lack of understanding. Obama/Biden 08

This mockery and usage of Hillary as a divisive weapon by the republicans should make her extremely unhappy. Her future in the democratic party may depend on her squelching McCain (who one laughed when a voter said something like, "How do we stop this b----") in reference to Hillary. McCain is no friend to women anywhere, and any woman who votes for him wants to stay in the 19th century forever.

Hillary Clinton's RESPONSE TO McCain's ad
"Hillary Clinton's support of Barack Obama is clear. She has said repeatedly that Barack Obama and she share a commitment to changing the direction of the country, getting us out of Iraq, and expanding access to health care. John McCain doesn't. It's interesting how those remarks didn't make it into his ad."

Republican concern trolls bemoan Biden

As expected, Republicans didn't waste a moment before launching the full concern troll attack on Obama's selection of a running mate. No matter who was chosen, they would have professed concern that they know much better than Democrats who the Democratic nominees should have been...

Ron Paul got over 1 millions of votes.
Mitt Romney won millions of votes.
Mike Huckabee: won millions of votes, and continued winning states after McCain won the nomination. Yet he isn't being considered for McCain's ticket. John McCain could picked Huckabee. Is he afraid of his faith???
Why? Because he spoke the truth about John McCain?
Why does John McCain refuse to offer Mike Huckabee a place on the ticket? Because John McCain can't handle the truth.

Using the media and others twisted logic, Jerry Brown(1992), or Jesse Jackson should have been VP in past elections. Mitt Romney(still possible) or Mike Huckabee should be McCain's VP. Using reverse logic, many chosen VP should not have been. Al Gore should not have been Bill Clinton's VP. Reagan should not have chosen GHWB. Cheney and Quayle should not have been chosen either.

There are so many men and women who are male chauvinists. They do not believe that a woman should have as much power as a man. It's too bad. We have broken the skin color barrier, but it seems that there are still people who discriminate against women who aspire to achieve the top. What is wrong with a woman for President. I have faith in her abilities. She knows more than Bamarama. He is a flash in the pan. He will die out. In the privacy of the voting booth, not enough people with cast their ballot for Bamarama, the rock star. We need meat and potatoes solid leadership. I guess we are stuck with another 4 years of Republican leadership. It's McCain or Hillary. It's up to you in the media. You are all in love with Backarama. change your perspective before we have another 4 years of republicans.
