A blistering rebuttal was just released by Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama's campaign to The Obama Nation, the anti-Obama book from writer Jerome Corsi -- who was part of the so-called Swift Boat attacks on Sen. John Kerry in 2004.

In this 40-page pdf, the Obama team calls Corsi a "bigoted fringe author" who is peddling "rehashed lies."

"His record of attacks is disgusting and false, and so is this book," the campaign says. The pdf, called Unfit for Publication, devotes 29 pages to rebutting Corsi's "lies," three pages to his "widely discredited beliefs," two pages to evidence he is a bigot and two pages to the "offensive language" in the book.

As we noted this morning, Corsi was on CNN's Larry King Live last night. You can read what he said in defense of his book and his reporting here. The Associated Press calls Corsi's book "a compilation of all the allegations and innuendo against Obama" that makes the case "that the Illinois senator is a dangerous, radical candidate for president."
