That Celeb ad Republican John McCain's presidential campaign unveiled last Wednesday didn't go over well with Paris Hilton's mother.

It is, Kathy Hilton writes today at the liberal Huffington Post, "a complete waste of the money John McCain's contributors have donated to his campaign ... a complete waste of the country's time and attention ... and a completely frivolous way to choose the next president of the United States."

Hilton and her husband have given McCain's campaign the maximum $4,600 that two can donate. Their daughter Paris and singer Britney Spears are shown in the ad, which questions whether a "celebrity" such as Obama is ready to be president. After its release, McCain campaign manager Rick Davis agreed that the ad's intent was to portray Obama as being like the two young pop stars -- frivolous and irresponsible.
